A native of Enfield Connecticut, Leah Secondo traded the cold for the Florida sunshine back in 1996 when she moved to a new subdivision under construction called Glenn Lakes. Leah watched all the homes being built and learned all the nuances of the properties and the surrounding county. Three years later, Leah obtained her realtor license and ever since that time she has been the go to resident real estate specialist of the community. Bradenton History

The sun in Bradenton shines upon us over 95% of the year. With rich, beautiful white sand, crisp crystal clear aqua water beaches, and mesmerizing views, you will get a vacation-like feel 365 days. Seeing dolphins and manatee frolic is just a natural part of the day.

Historical origins of Bradenton date back to the mid-1600s. When Spanish explorer Hernando DeSoto and his conquerors, one of the first pioneers, reached this place, they realized they had found Heaven, claiming to be part of a region just tucked into the Manatee River's inner coastline. To this day, thousands of people visit Desoto Historical Park every year.

Bradenton is about 14 square miles with 16% of the area water. The beaches extend roughly 20 miles from the tip of Anna Maria to Longboat Key by Intercostal waters.

There are several major corporations within Manatee County including Tropicana Products with dates back to 1947, Champs Sports and department store chain Bealls.

Bradenton is the home of the global sports conglomerate IMG Academy. It is has also been the spring training home to the Pittsburgh Pirates since 1969.

It is an easy flight from anywhere through the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport.
